Ok, I’m back now. I had my first day back at school today and it is good so far. My short course is going to be really great I think. We have a lot of group work which is a nice change from tests and papers. Also each day we meet with the other short course students and have chapel so that is an uplifting break.

So what have I been up to in my blogging hiatus? As said below I finished my first semester of grad school and then went home for a couple of days. I just hung out at the house with my parents, relaxed, shopped, saw some friends, went to REI and got hiking boots and just caught up with myself. I needed a break.

Then I came back to Abilene for the missions seminar before my class began. I had a lot of fun in the evenings with some of my teammates and Chad and Sara who just moved here from Oklahoma to start training with us. I am so excited for them to be here. I know they will be great with our team but we have a lot of getting to know each other to do and the summer will be awesome for that.

I took a short little trip to visit the BFF and we went to the Astros/Rangers game. Sadly the Astros lost but it was super fun to just go to a game. The night was beautiful and I LOVE being the fan for the other team at sporting events. See pics below.

Now it is back to real life, kinda. I have a week of class, a week off, then another week of class and then the rest of the summer to study, work and hang out. Hooray!

I do not really like setting goals for myself because something always gets in the way but I have a few things I would like to accomplish.

1. Use my YMCA membership, go to work out classes and take better care of my body.
2. Read a book or two that are not for school. First book Into Thin Air.
3. Eat lots of fruits and veggies.
4. Get more involved at Hope church.
5. Spend as much time outside as possible and enjoy ever minute of it.
6. Go camping.
7. Finish the other seasons of 24.

When the scoreboard said to be loud we said to be quiet

Sad the Astros lost but we still had fun

Look at my straight hair! Don't expect to see that again for another 4 years!
