And I thought the most exciting thing to happen to me on Thursday was my clumsiness of dropping my milk carton and a canister of sugar all over the kitchen floor. I was wrong!

Here is what the news says I witnessed:

Undercover Drug Buy Goes Bad

ABILENE -- A police undercover drug sting goes wrong Thursday night and ends up in a three crash in south Abilene.

According to police, undercover officers were attempting to make a marijuana purchase when the suspect fled in his Ford SUV. After a short pursuit, the drug suspect ran a red light at South 14th and Barrow and crashed into two bystander vehicles.

He then took off on foot, but was soon apprehended.

A woman whose car was struck was not seriously injured...but police were not sure about the extent of the injuries to the bystander in a truck.

Woah! It was an exciting evening. Here is what I remember:

I pulled up to the intersection, about 2 cars from the light and noticed 3 cars smashed into each other, with glass scattered all over the place. I could not see the cars well but I was looking to see if people were ok when a guy darted out from the cars and ran off. My thought was "oh no, he is running away because he doesn't have insurance or something." Ha. I knew I was wrong when this other guy wearing street clothes and a bullet proof vest that said POLICE over it chased after him holding his gun.

The first guy ran around the side of a building and then took off down the alley with the police guy following behind him. They ran right behind my car! As I am quite afraid of guns I wanted to see what was happening but I did not want to get shot either so I laid down in my car and watched from there. I probably looked pretty silly.

After that a number of other police cars pulled up to help manage the situation. They put another guy in handcuffs and made him sit down on the corner while they talked to the people who got hit. I guess they were ok, thankfully.

I had to sit at the light for quite a while before they would let us drive off. The crashed cars were in the way and just too much going on for them to care about getting us passed them so I just sat patiently, a little surprised at what I had just witnessed. Who knew Abilene could be so exciting!

I know Season 6 is not pictured but that is because my friends Kaylynn and Travis have been enjoying the series

After years and years of toil and hard work my Friends Collection is FINALLY complete! I got Season 7 in the mail yesterday thanks to an Overstock.com gift card I got for Christmas. I have been working on getting all the seasons since....well I cannot even remember when I got my first season. That's how long ago it was.

I remember as a freshman in college me and my roommate/BFF Lauren would watch the Best Of Friends on VHS (yes, that's right, VHS). Somewhere along the way we began collecting the DVD seasons. We had been Friends fans for a long time. We have memories of watching the finales together in high school and even of running back from Freshman Follies (don't ask if you don't know) practice to make sure we saw the finale of Season 9.

Season 10 occurred our sophomore year and the second half of the season I was studying abroad in Uruguay. My mom taped EVERY EPISODE for me while I was gone so I could watch when I returned. That is how devoted I was (and my mom was) because back then you could not just watch it on the internet or DVR it. You had to VHS tape record it. That is true fanship.

But back to the DVD's. The BFF and I lived together all 4 years of college and we decided to start collecting the seasons together. I would get the odds and she would get the evens. Somewhere along the way I think we got a little off but we had a good little system going. Then came The Great Divorce! I moved to Colorado and BFF moved to Houston. This separated not only us but our DVD's as well.

I did not let the divorce get me down or stop me from continuing my collection. That was 4 years ago and I have finally completed the collection. It took many Christmas', birthdays and gift cards to come this far but my goal was to have them all before moving to Chile and I met that goal with months to spare!

Friends will always be one of my favorite TV shows. I can never watch it too much, especially my favorite episodes. Thanks to everyone who has helped me come so far and reach my goals. Without you my dreams would not have been possible. :)

My teammates and I had a moving sale last weekend to rid ourselves of unnecessary things and furniture too big to move to Chile. Selling these things will make the move simpler and the funds we raised will help get us there.

To hear the longer story go to our team blog. Click on link on the right side of the page to get there.

I know when you think of adult treasure hunting you think of real dorky guys who wish they were born in a different century where they got to wear swords and believed there was treasure to be found. But, have you ever heard of Geocaching because it is adult treasure hunting but in a much less intense way. I got to do it on Monday and had so much fun.

Some of my friends from church had done it before so we set out into the little wilderness that Abilene has to find our treasure. The way it works is that people place a cache somewhere and then log it in on the website by its coordinates and telling the size it is (micro, small, large). Then people like us decide we want to go find that cache so we put the coordinates into our gps and go stomping around until we find it.

The fun part is that the gps can only be so accurate so within about 12 feet of where it is supposed to be you start searching. If it is a micro it is obviously very small. We never found any micros. Once you spot it you log your name and date and then take a little treasure that someone has left inside and replace it with a little treasure that you have brought. The technical term for treasure is swag.

We got swag that was a free coupon for ice cream, a bouncy ball, and a Texas flag. We put swag in that was post-it-notes, 3D glasses and a fake mustache. What is fun is that it is not like you are in a flat parking lot where you just walk a straight, uninterrupted line to the cache and find it. The terrain we were in caused us to take many detours around cactus, trees, ponds, deep mud, and other obstacles. It was so great!

So, for us it was really about hanging out with friends, outside, doing something different and active. The treasure is not really that great but the adventure finding it totally is. I had a blast.

The only negative thing is that now we are all covered in chigger bites and I cannot stop the itch!!!! I read up on home remedies and many of them said Listerine. All I had was store-brand mouth wash but I gave it a try. I think all it did was make me smell minty...
